IRAC Releases October 2015 Update to Index of Unpublished BIA Decisions

The Immigrant & Refugee Appellate Center, LLC, is pleased to release the most recent update to the 2015 edition of the Index of Unpublished BIA Decisions, which now contains decisions issued through October 14, 2015.

Among other newly added cases, the Index now contains decisions:

• Granting asylum to an applicant threatened with death for assisting her daughter pursue a criminal complaint against a gang member

• Remanding for further proceedings after the dismissal of a conviction that resulted in a prior denial of a DACA application

• Ordering DHS to disclose relevant materials relating to the respondent’s mental competency

• Criticizing an immigration judge for denying a request for a continuance while a dependency petition for Special Immigrant Juvenile Status was pending in state court
